Very often, in life,
it's not what we do,
it's the way that we do it,
and it's not what we say,
it's the way that we say it,
that causes offence to others.
Help us, dear Lord,
to do what we do
and say what we say
in such a way
as not to cause offence.
And should we fail,
help to be truly sorry,
and to say so,
as graciously as possible.
