Some reasons for belief in a God of justice and mercy

One of the greatest consolations of life can be the conviction 

that God will ensure that everyone, either in this world or the next,

will receive justice and mercy for all that has happened in their lives.

The good will be blessed and the sad will be comforted
and all who have been ill-treated in any way will receive justice.

Conversely, all those who have caused sadness and suffering of any kind 

or ill-used anyone in any way will come to feel the suffering they have caused 

and be brought to feel true remorse for their actions and the desire to make amends.
