About judging

How can I presume that I have the right to judge others?

Do I know everything about them; their backgrounds, experiences, circumstances? No, impossible.

Do I forget my own frailties? Yes, all the time.

A suggestion for the rewording of the Our Father

Our Father in heaven,

may your holy name be honoured.

May your kingdom come

and your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven. 

Give us today our daily bread

and forgive us our offences

as we forgive those who offend against us.

Keep us from temptation

and free us from evil.
